I like to consider myself fairly technical – This product was a really tough thing to install. I had all kinds of problems from missing parts to just bad directions. I ended up shoving it all back into the box and calling ADT to come out and set up their alarm system. As a business owner, it was not worth my time to sit at the office and try to figure this out. If you are going to purchase this- I would suggest finding someone familiar with alarm systems to help you with it’s set up and installation. I think that was, in the end, my short coming.

MAXSA Innovations 40225 Solar-Powered Motion-Activated 80 LED Security Floodlight
I have ordered this unit, and it looks really good compared to any other solar security light I have seen anywhere. I’m excited. I bought a different one at Menards by Westinghouse and it had only 3 LED’s and was dimmer than the light on a cat drinking fountain.
My main concern with this or any solar outdoor unit for any purpose is that it snows a good deal here in Minnesota and I would think that no matter how its positioned its going to have the solar cells covered with snow and therefore not functioning from time to time. I don’t see any way around this. Snow sticks to stop signs here and they are 100% vertical, so its going to happen to the solar cells too.
Any one had one in snow country and dealt with this issue yet?
SE Dummy Security Camera, Dome Shape, 1 Red Flashing Light
I got this dummy camera to fool my workers so I can keep them under control. This camera is not motion sensor unless you put your hand a foot from it. It is only light sensetive so it should blink at night. for what I pay for and for my purpose it works. I do not know how long the battery will last thou. If you are buying this for more than $5-$8 you are wasting your money. It should be sold at dollar store.
